Mumbai, Mar 16 () Popular and versatile Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor took a trip down memory lane and spoke about his experience in Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Satte Pe Satta’.

After 40 years in the film, the actor looks back and shares his thoughts on why he can always come back to ‘Satte Pe Satta’ and what made the film special. He also recalled that after the completion of the film, megastar Amitabh Bachchan invited the entire cast for dinner.

Recalling the shooting experience, he said, « It was a family film and the audience was watching it like a family, which was honestly a great feeling. We shot the film in Kashmir and I have so many memories that if I start talking. I’m not going to stop anytime soon. »

« I can watch Satte pe Satta 200 times and I watch it when I’m sad. I watch it when I want to remember my youth. The bond we shared as brothers in the film has never been seen on screen before. It’s not about comedy. there was talk, but the laughs came because of the authenticity of the film, the performances, the good script and the passionate team of the team. »

He gave more information about his character and said that he should not play a character with a speech impediment in the beginning. But he just convinced the director to add some variations to make his on-screen character more interesting.

« At first, my character was not supposed to be a guy with a speech problem. I even shot my first scene normally, but later I realized that some variations could add more spark to my character. I convinced my director to change that element and I’m so happy with the way I played the character. We brought my idea forward and restarted the whole scene, » he shared.

« Our shooting days were full of fun. When the film was over, we missed each other so much that one day Mr. Bachchan invited us separately for dinner at his house. That night was so much fun that we started at 8:30 and finish at 7- It was a very fun dinner and also an unforgettable experience, » he concluded.

Talking about a remake, he said: « I wish they would remake this movie and I think the young actors are so good these days that they will definitely do an amazing job playing their characters. »
